QASL has contributed to the Queen's community by furthering the understanding of the interplay and intersections among Deaf and hard of hearing identities on campus.

Club of the Year 2020
The Alma Mater Society awarded QASL this honour in March 2020. Club of the Year is awarded to the club that has exemplified the spirit of Queen’s and the clubs community through performing at an exceptional level in the Kingston community and beyond.
The Queen's University Social Issues Commission 2022 Equity Club of the Year
In April 2022, QASL was awarded the Equity Club of the Year award for the 2021-2022 school year. The Queen's University Social Issues Commission awards Equity Club of the Year to a Queen's group that has made a significant impact and exemplifies the spirit of the equity community.
